Making a difference in choosing an apartment in Puglia.

When preparing a trip with a stay in a seaside area, it is now common practice to select accommodation facilities by focusing on the evaluation of the quality of the services offered and the context in which the hotel or B&B is located and operates. The times when the choice was mostly determined by the type of room and the proximity to the sea and the areas most frequented by tourists are not far away. The other factors were often taken for granted and therefore played little discriminating role in the final choice.

The following is some detailed information that can help the visitor in evaluating what the B&B Happy Days Golfo di Gallipoli has to offer.

The House

In managing the B&B Happy Days, aware of the good level of the structure, we work hard on the quality of the services available to guests. Paying attention to the well-being of the guest during his stay means for us creating the conditions for him to feel pleasantly at ease. For this reason we have tried to create a welcoming and relaxing residence, capable of promoting the well-being and pleasure of those who stay there.

We did not focus on luxury, which does not belong to the B&B category, but on quality and hospitality.

The common areas of the B&B Happy Days, all outdoors, have been designed to be enjoyed and experienced in a pleasant and relaxing way. The wooden gazebo, in whose shade we serve breakfast, is located near the swimming pool and the garden. The “dry stone” wall that marks the property boundary has remained the original one, rough in its construction and materials but very “real” and therefore well-integrated into the context.

To achieve a good integration of the pool into the surrounding environment, we wanted to use a local stone for the solarium flooring. It is the carparo or Lecce stone, white in color capable of characterizing the facility in aesthetic terms but with a good impact on the area in which it stands. The carparo is a valuable stone also widely used in art. An extraordinary artistic testimony of this is the facade of the Basilica of Santa Croce in Lecce, but so are the beautiful portals of the most beautiful buildings in the city and in the towns of Salento.

The Gazebo and breakfasts

It is a space shaded by a wooden structure, located in the garden opposite the entrance to the B&B. From there, it is only a few steps to the pool. We have furnished it in a simple way with wooden tables and chairs. We serve an Italian breakfast with a variety of fruit and other products that we try to alternate during the guests’ stay. The pasticciotti leccesi and the homemade cakes are particularly appreciated by adults and children.

The car park

It is located at the bottom of the garden in a fenced area. It is accessed from the gate next to the main entrance on Strada Santa Maria. Guests of each room have a free parking space.

The bathrooms and the balconies

The bathrooms of the three bedrooms on the first floor have just been renovated with obvious improvements in comfort. The bathroom of the bedroom on the ground floor has been restored very recently.

The rooms overlooking the main entrance have very large balconies with table, chairs and clothes horse. The room overlooking the garden has a slightly smaller balcony but still equipped with table, chairs and clothes horse. The room on the ground floor has an independent outdoor space under the loggia equipped as for the other rooms.

The bed for the third guest

In the two larger rooms a third bed or a cot can be added. A supplement is required.

Kitchenette

For stays of at least one week, guests of the rooms on the first floor can use an internal kitchenette or an external kitchenette. Availability of the service must be verified at the time of booking.

Air conditioning, TV and fridge

All rooms have air conditioning, fridge and TV screen.

Daily cleaning

The rooms, bathrooms, balconies and all internal and external areas are cleaned and tidied daily to ensure guests maximum comfort. There are no supplements for final cleaning.

Disabled access

There is easy access for the disabled to the ground floor room, gazebo and swimming pool. The parking space is conveniently located in front of the room entrance.
